Chart of the day: Americans rank nexial events

From a Pew Research Center survey asking Americans which news event they considered the most important in their lives, this chart focuses on generational differences [click on the image to enlarge]:


Being of the Boomer generation, we would argue that the Vietnam war was the most critical event, a war that showed the linits of American power and the singular event wwhich has driven successive governments to reassert American dominance, leading the chaos that now reigns in many parts of the world.
