- Former congressman Mike Rogers leaves transition team
- It was not immediately clear why Rogers, a widely respected voice on national security, left his position as adviser.
- Eliot Cohen, a former State Department official under George W. Bush, urged career officials not to serve in a Trump administration. He tweeted: “They’re angry, arrogant, screaming ‘you LOST!’… Will be ugly.”
- In a surprise development, former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani appeared to take himself out of the running for attorney general.
