This time, it’s Roman Polanski’s latest film, a short created for Prada featuring Ben Kingsley and Helena Bonham Carter. And, as might be expected, it’s delightfully perverse.

We’ll say no more.

  1. I wonder if you’d defend polanski if he were just the creepy guy down the street and not a famous talented director ….

    • Any defendant in any case facing any charge whatsoever in a case where a judge so egregiously violated the law would elicit precisely the same response for me. Judges, unlike defendants, face a higher legal and moral standard requiring them to treat all defendants in the same way, without fear or favor — obligations violated by Laurence J. Rittenband. . .violations which obligated to recuse himself from the case. Note that the prosecutor in the case feels the same way, a man who loathed Polanski’s actions [Roger Gunson is a Mormon and perhaps the most honest man I’ve met].
